About Noah's Ark
From the beginning , Noah's Ark has been dedicated to helping families with childcare and how children see how God fits into their daily lives. Children are our future and they carry the promise of treating others the way they want to be treated. Since we opened our doors in 1994, Noah's Ark has been the leader in childcare. In fact they are the only childcare that practices, demonstrates, and lives by what we teach.
We know a child learns more while having fun than by just teaching. Without question, children are important, if not the most important to Jesus's teachings. Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:24 and Luke 18:16. A "childlike" faith is talked about in many verses of the Old and New Testament.
If time is like money, limited and valuable, the childcare you chose for your children is extremely important. The positive impact a childcare provider could have on a child is supportive to the family and community they serve. Not only do we teach it, but we live it. All our staff is involved with youth groups and other Christian ministries leading others to love and not fight, to respect and not disrespect, to help and not hinder. Regardless of religious or nonreligious beliefs, we are all human and come from one source. A Hebrew King named King Solomon said "The words of a person's mouth are deep waters, a bubbling stream, a fountain of wisdom." Proverbs 18:4. "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit." Proverbs 18:21.
"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me." Mark 9:37
Children are the most important resource to the future.
Vehicles - Transportation
All our vehicles meet or exceed National Highway Transportation Safety Administration rules and guidelines for school buses. We do not use the less expensive 15 passenger vehicles that have a higher rollover potential and are not reinforced steel protected. Our vehicles all have dual rear wheels, which are much safer vehicles. Complete set of controlled mirrors including crossover, passenger compartment, side view, and blind spot mirrors. We are proactive with our maintenance and routine services. For more vehicle safety information you can go to https://www.nhtsa.gov/road-safety/school-bus-safety.
Age or Grade Groups
Children love to have fun with their peers and classmates. We do divide the children up into age appropriate groups. We also mix them up. The one thing children always do is look up to and learn from older children or adults. We are going to make sure the groups are appropriate and have responsible children in the mix. Would you want your child looking up to the wrong role models? Modeling is extremely important because no matter what we try to verbally teach, children continue to learn from the actions of others just like they did when they learned to walk.
All our counselors and adults were invited or hand picked. To become a counselor you have to be involved in helping others or leadership activities. All applicants will have a background check performed and are subject to random drug testing. New staff go though a 60 day counselor training program and observation period. On going training and daily discussions about attitudes and behaviors are a must.
CPR and First Aid Training
Adult staff are CPR and First Aid trained, as well as, 90% of the counselors. Fast emergency response is critical in some accidents so we want to make sure your child is attended to immediately if something happens. If there is an accident, 911 is called first and then the parent or legal guardian is then called as per your instructions you give on the application. As per our insurance carrier, we are required to call 911 first.
Special Needs Children
All special needs children are required to have an onsite interview prior to admission.
We do accept special needs children on a very limited basis. They need to be able to go to the bathroom by themselves, handle all their needs while in the bathroom, be responsive to verbal requests, and not disruptive or physical toward others. To be accepted, an evaluation with one of our staff is required prior to attendance. We want to make sure your child has the best possible care.
The Care you chose for your child is just as important as the time you have to spend with them.
